This day is celebrated worldwide on the initiative of the UN on the last Sunday of September, in honor of the establishment in 1951 of the International Federation of the deaf.

Hearing Loss

The Ear is an important sensational  part of body. It can connected human being to each other  as well as with nature elements.In a running life several cases of all age people considered by doctors. One of them important is Hearing Loss.

There are several types of hearing loss. Depending on the part of the auditory analyzer that has been affected, specialists differentiate conductive, sensorineural (or perceptive) and mixed hearing loss.

Conductive hearing loss is a hearing impairment caused by some kind of obstruction on the way of sound from the outer ear to the inner ear. Such condition can in most cases be helped by medical or surgical methods.

Sensorineural hearing loss is connected with a disorder in the transformation of sound vibrations into electric impulses conducted to the patient’s brain. Such hearing impairments are more complicated and difficult to treat.

To identify accurately the degree of hearing loss pure tone audiometry (PTA) is used. That is a test in which the patient is offered sounds of different frequencies and intensity. Normally human ear detects sounds amplified to the level of less than 25 dB.

Hearing loss are distinguished – hereditary and acquired.Hereditary hearing loss may occur under the influence of various genetic factors, including the cases of birth defects

Reason:-

.Acquired hearing loss is brought about by some influence on the auditory analyzer of a healthy individual. Acquired hearing loss may develop as the result of an injury or an infection. Acquired sensorineural hearing loss is, in most cases, an age-related condition. The reason of the so-called presbyacusis (senile deafness) lies in the gradual degradation of hair cells.

Among other conditions that quite often cause inner ear malfunction we should name infectious diseases (influenza, acute respiratory diseases, whooping cough, meningitis, syphilis etc.), vascular disorders (hypertension, cerebral atherosclerosis), middle ear blood supply disturbance, osteochondrosis

High level noise is even more dangerous. What noise should we consider as excessive and therefore hazardous? No doubt, we may call hazardous any noise that causes discomfort with the listener - and even more so if it causes physical pain in the ears.

Hearing loss is a condition that affects people of all ages. Moreover, statistics shows that nowadays an increasing number of young people have problems with auditory perception

Since ,Ears to extra load by spending much time in front of the TV-set and long telephone talks. According to scientists, the increasing popularity of music players is one of the main reasons for the growing number of hearing loss cases among young people. The volume of such players that some young people use almost 24 hours a day often exceeds the frequency of 100 dB.If you suspect that your hearing has deteriorated you should see a doctor as soon as possible. If your hearing has really become worse, you should start using a hearing aid.
